Gilford served as General Contractor for the adaptive re-use of an abandoned former bowling alley / Masonic lodge / furniture store to create a new headquarters facility. The area of work encompassed approximately 31,495 sf and included demolition, renovations to the basement, first, and second floors as well as base building construction of a new mezzanine and third floor.
In addition to structural elements, new interior stair and elevator tower, work included installation of new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection infrastructure systems; and renovation of the exterior façade.
The first floor will house a full-service Busboys and Poets restaurant, bookstore, and other retail. The second and newly constructed third floor will accommodate FSFSC’s 70+ staff and enable enhanced future programming.
